The Weekend Warrior is a brand new team competition, hosted in Iowa City and Solon, Iowa. Each team has four members and each teammate will pick ONE event between bowling, running, biking and golfing. The 4 events will be scored against their peers, with the highest sum total winning. 36 teams. First come, first serve.
The Weekend Warrior begins Friday night (May 24) at Colonial Lanes in Iowa City, followed by Saturday in Solon for the 5k run, 20k bike and golf. A social for fun will follow the last event.
Who are we doing this for? 100% of the funds raised support the Track Guy Foundation, a non-profit IRC Sec 501(c)(3) organization. Since 2018, Track Guy has gifted 600+ pairs of shoes to Iowa student-athletes in need, awarded fifty-two $500 scholarships to graduating Iowa high school seniors, offered 3 free skills clinics across Iowa, and much more.
